Wild Wild West | The Joys of Teaching Da Vinci Ground Manners 😂🐴

A hot day under the sun, going through basic ground manners with my dark bay, Da Vinci. In light of a horseman coming through to patiently re-explain the ropes, I decided to share the knowledge whilst it is still fresh in my mind.

You’ll experience:

You will experience an educational and gentle way to gain respect from your horses with three basic ground activities that need to be done consistently for a few minutes daily, in order for your horse to retain what he is taught and to learn. You will also experience Phantom barging in the ring when the video spotlight was not on her.

Tay's Takes

  • I used Da Vinci as an example as he has been my “problem” horse since arriving at his new home. He seems to be very good on the halter and understands that he is the one who needs to listen to me, not vice versa.
  • Filming under the hot, African sun is not ideal as it brought on a feeling of sleepiness and laziness. My horse was also feel sleepy and was half asleep most of the time, but he still did good.
  • Phantom was actually very cute and funny, but I could not tell her that because barging into the ring was very naughty and is ill-mannered of her. She was not part of the ground manners video and decided that that was not right.
  • I actually felt a lot more confident working with Da Vinci than I have in a while, and I do believe it is because I had someone come out and actually help me. The more I do these three things with me, the more my confidence will grow, which I am really happy about. It felt like a success overall, not just for a video to be posted online.

Making Carrot Cake Muffins 🥕🧁 | Made With Reverence

Carrot cake muffins are officially one of my new favourite things to bake! Surprisingly, this baking session went a lot smoother than some of my previous adventures in the kitchen. I actually followed the recipe quite closely this time, although of course I still managed to add a few of my own little twists along the way.

Planting Seeds With Me Part 3 🌱 | Mom Knows Best 😂

Gardening is definitely a lot more work than I originally thought! This time I am planting seeds in my new garden, potting my little avocado plants that have been growing in glasses of water and attempting to give the grass some love with compost. Thankfully, my mom is back and happens to be a gardening genius, so instead of guessing my way through everything, I actually get to learn how to do it properly. 🌱😂
