Gardening is truly not my specialty (not much is, but especially gardening), however it can also be a fun activity to do when you are bored or wish to give life to something (without falling pregnant). I randomly decided to buy three packets of flower seeds because I thought it would be nice to plant them and watch them grow in spring, seeing as though winter is coming to an end and spring is slowly unfolding.
I bought a packet of African Daisy seeds, Phlox seeds and Sweetpea seed, the climber version – which means once they grow they are biologically formed to climb anything nearby, kind of like ivy. I didn’t know that at the time of the purchase, but am still happy to have them and will buy something for them to climb upon. These were planted in one of the specific garden beds that my mother designed many years ago, also in favour of my dear mother.
Since she is in the UK for a while, I planted the seeds in hopes they would be fully grown and flourishing by the time she returns, since she so adores her flowers and gardens and everything in the ground. My mom is the one in the family blessed with green fingers, and appears to be a one off thing, since I didn’t receive that gift.
I didn’t plant the seeds with special soil or even a spade, I used a stick! I hope they are still strong enough to grow and bloom despite my haphazard planting. My mother told me that as long as they receive water every day, they should grow beautifully.
I am still yet to purchase a small fencing to block off the dogs from walking around and sleeping in there as well as a climbing object for the Sweetpeas. I think with love and tender care and good intentions, along with water and sun, that they will bloom as they were made to.
