Lashless Mirror | Embracing Natural Beauty

As much as I love makeup, different lip combos, experimenting with eyeliner, and playing around with different looks, I believe it is something that we should enjoy rather than obsess over.

Makeup can be a controversial topic, something that I will approach with kindness and thought.

If you are struggling with self-love or embracing your true, authentic self, this blog is just for you. We all have our insecurities, parts of ourselves that we nitpick and slowly tear apart with a negative mindset. But that can change; slowly, with small steps to discover your natural beauty.

Decreasing the amount of makeup you wear a day could improve how you perceive yourself as a whole. A little less foundation, a little less bronzer or even none at all, can ween you off the obsessive need to “look perfect”. A natural makeup look can be achieved easily by adding light mascara, soft eyeshadow and a subtle lip combo.

By using less product on your skin, you are doing yourself an act of kindness, saying, “I am already perfect the way I am, I am just enhancing my already beautiful features”.

It’s time for us women to enjoy ourselves, to remove the mask that we put on for the world, to remove what is not part of ourselves, look in the mirror, and appreciate the way we are without a man-made product to cover our “imperfections.”

Enjoy makeup, be playful with it, but never let it define your worth or your true beauty. Embrace your face for what it is, as your natural beauty can never compare to that of a product squeezed out of a bottle.
